Breakdown structure of the system variant that supports the variability analysis by following the principles below:
(1) A system variant is composed of at least two system elements or system element variants.
(2) A system variant allocates a high level physical element variant.
(3) A system element variant allocates a physical element variant.
(4) A system element variant can be a system variant.
Note: principle (4) excludes principle (3).
